Demolished in 1980, the Baker Hotel was located in downtown Dallas where the AT&T buildings stand today. High atop the Baker on the 18th floor was a fabulous ballroom modeled after an old English Inn by the renowned Dallas architects, Fooshee and Cheek. Known far and wide as the Peacock Terrace, the ballroom was wildly popular with debutantes, movie stars and swing bands in the Roaring Twenties. The elegant 50th Annual Ball will take place in a recreated 1920s Peacock Terrace and will include memories from past Junior League balls. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Heights at Park Lane Community,

If you haven’t heard already I’m Melissa Rodriguez; your new concierge.  As this is my first week here at The Heights at Park Lane, I am so happy to be a part of this community. I am excited to meet you and get to know you; and I am very excited to have been chosen for this position!
A little about me, I moved to the DFW area in 1988 from El Paso, TX.  I graduated from Texas Woman’s University and majored in Elementary Education.  It’s funny how so many people work in occupations that have nothing to do with their degrees.  I worked in the hospitality for many years including fine dining restaurants.  So, if you need any recommendations, just ask me!
Since I am new to this position, I want to understand you needs and concerns. I will do my best and work hard to meet them when they arise. It’s my only goal to make sure your experience here at The Heights at Park Lane is beyond measure. If you have any suggestions, comments, or advice please don’t hesitate to call me at (214) 750-0723 or e-mail me at concierge@theheightsatparklane.com
I want you to know that I am open and available to address any needs no matter how big or small, so my staff and I can assist in resolving them as soon as possible.  It is not until you are truly happy that we are as well!
Sincerely,
Melissa O. Rodriguez
